Celebrate New Zealand’s indigenous culture through the release of New Zealand Post’s first Maori art legal tender coin since the sellout Pukaki coin of 2004.
In 2010, we are proud to honour heitiki – an internationally recognised and lasting symbol of Maori art.
Only 50 gold proof coins left worldwide!
Please note: Due to huge demand for this product, we regret to advise that orders for the silver proof coin will be despatched in April following the receipt of the final shipment of coins - we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Specimen quality bullion: Usually applies to silver coins, also referred to as “semi-proof”.
Brilliant uncirculated (BU): Uncirculated coin with natural mirror-like surfaces and no bag marks. BU coins are made available to collectors in sets or as individual items.
Uncirculated: These coins have not yet been directly handled or circulated, but may contain minor “bag marks” caused by the mass-production process.
