Support the RSA with stamp and coin collectables

13 January 2016

2016 marks 100 years since the founding of the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association (RSA) and New Zealand Post is paying tribute to this important organisation with a special commemorative stamp and coin issue. The designs reflect the RSAs identity, history and future and incorporate their new ‘heart’ logo.

“We’re pleased to be supporting the RSA with this stamp and coin issue,” said Simon Allison, Head of Stamps and Coins at New Zealand Post, “The RSA is a significant organisation in New Zealand and contributes within the community in many ways so we’re honoured to be able to help tell their story through this special commemorative issue.”

This special issue includes a presentation pack, which contains six gummed stamps, a miniature sheet and first day cover, as well as further detail on the history of the RSA as written by RNZRSA historian, Dr Stephen Clarke. Plus, with the sale of each presentation pack, New Zealand Post will donate $1 to the RSA.

Complementing the stamps in this issue is a stunning 1oz silver proof coin with selective colour. The coin features the painting At Rest by Captain Matt Gauldie, Royal New Zealand Army (RNZA), the final painting in his Unknown Warrior series. NZ Post will donate $5 from the sale of each silver proof coin to the RSA.

The issue is available for purchase from 3 February 2016 at New Zealand PostShops. Pre-orders are being taken now through the Whanganui Collectables and Solutions Centre or online at and
